7th International Kite Festival in Lebanon
July 3 to10, 2006
Dear kite flyer friends,
As you know, time goes by very quickly, and we are already preparing for the 7th International Kite Festival in Lebanon!
Traditionnally, the Festival takes place in July, 7th month of the year, and as I said earlier, we are preparing for the 7th edition of the Festival. These 2 number 7, added to the fact that some of you proposed "Magic" as a theme for the next festival, inspired this year's theme:
It will be "The Magic of Number 7"
If you have the time and feel like it, you can build a kite on that theme. There are many inspiration sources for building kites around the theme of number 7. Following are some web pages in English and French for further inspiration:

Furthermore, for a successful transition between the theme of last year's festival ("The Phoenicians") and the one of this year, our friend Frits Groenhart from the Netherlands sent us number 7 in Phoenician. (See attached .jpg picture) I think number 7 in Phoenician would make a very nice kite!
For a stronger motivation, there will be this year a 300 USD price to the winner. Obviously, the kite must be related to this year's theme, "The Magic of Number 7". The kite must be at least 1 meter large and must be created specially for this occasion. Finally, there should be at least 5 kites in competition for the contest to take place.

Lübnan 7. ayda cehennem gibi sıcak olmaz mı?

Lübnan'daki festival bu sene 7.si düzenleniyor. Konu 7'nin uğuru ya da sihiri. Yarışmaya bu konuyla ilgili yapılan uçurtmalar katılacak. 300 dolar ödül var.
