Well let me introduce myself. I am Rini Ton and I live in Holland. I am a member of the HQ Demoteam "Flying Circus on tour".
As you can guess, we fly with the Tramontana in our team. The tramontana (2001) is a good team kite but it's getting old. It was time for something new, something which flies better and look more nice.
So I started a project with HQ to design a new team kite.
Soon the Trion was born! After 8 protos we finally came to a very calm, slow & precise team kite. The kite is fully framed with light but strong spars (Skyshark & Dynamics).
The Trion has a very large wind range which goes from 1,5 to 5 Bft. In 5 Bft it still flies slow and precise but it pulls a little bit.
The kite thanks his great precision from the deep sail, the winglets and the noise the kite make. You can choose to adjust the tension of the Trailing Edge line so you can make the kite quiet, and changes his flying characateristics.
The kite flies the best on long lines (35-45 meters).
We find the kite very predictible in all wind conditions.
The leading edge is completly smooth (covered leading edge) so you won't get tangled to other kites if you are flying in team. The kite comes with a 3-points bridle which you can simply adjust by some knots at the upper spreader.
And last but not least, it also tricks, it can do very nice, slow cascades, flic flacs, lazy susan's etc...
You can also use the kite for individual competition.
