It is our pleasure Bernhard . What would you like to drink ? :D

Where do you make your kites. You probably need a very large area to build so big kites ? I have seen many workshop pictures that fliers make the big kites together in a workshop. We all build our kites at home.
I think you like inflatable kites . I dont have an inflatable kite yet . One of our member made an octupus.

Hi Everybody;

@Bernhard;
Welcome to our forum. It’s wonderful to see a foreign member in the forum. I’ve visited your site. Your kites are magnificent. Especially I like Kroko family very much. I also want to make an inflatable kite like that. But I think it must be very complicated. Do you think that publish an article about that in your web site or in our forum? For example like this; “making an inflatable crocodile with step by step pictures”

Best regards,
Serçin…

“making an inflatable crocodile with step by step pictures” :wink: :roll: :P :shock: :(
good idea,---------but I just finished another one :D :wink:
...too late for the pictures, I'm sorry ! May be when I do the next one ?
But 'step by step', -it is really difficult and pictures alone are not enough instructions, I think.

May we know which type of materials you use. Do you use chikara or icarex or schikarex. Where do you buy this materials. How many meters of material did you use for your biggest kite. How much do you pay for schikarex ?
We sometimes order from wolkensturmer but they are very expensive comparing to USA.

@Halit,
normally I use the spinnaker I just got for a good price. Years ago Carrington was very popular in Germany and it was an excellent fabric for inflatable kites. But Carrington stopped production and today it's hard to find fabric like that ! Chikara is still very expensiv and Icarex to much hard for soft kites, -I think ! So sometimes I used Schikarex or I really love Torray ! Most times I buy it by friends, auctions or internet-shops.
A good shop in Germany is Metropolis
http://www.metropolis-drachen.de/cgi-bir ... .cgi?index
For example: Schikarex = about 6 Euro, depend on the quantity.
Not bad and a good price is Skytex, you'll get it by KEWO
http://www.kewo-international.de/index.php
6 Euro per meter, but 158 wide ! I don't know, if they sell to foreign countrys ? You have to ask them !
My biggest kite is 'Lurchi', I needed 300qm fabric, 10 kilometre of sewing thread, 1000 meter cord.......and so on !
It's crazy, I know ! :roll:

Diktiği uçurtmaların her birine 80 -300 metrekare civarında kumaş harcıyor.
Bu figürde çocukluğu döneminden bir karakter. Küçük bir oyuncağı varmış elinde.
Image

Bu işe hobi olarak başlamış bir deli.

Yaptığı uçurtmalar o kadar güzellerki, korkarım benim ingilizcem Bernhard'ı tebrik etmeye yeterli gelecek cümleler kurmaya yetmeyecek...

Çeviri için teşekkürler, başlamışken tebriklerimi sen iletiver Altan...
